LISA SHEPARD - Grab your favorite ankara print and let's recreate Lisa's Quick 'n' Dirty pattern-free shift dress! It debuted on social media with comments and DMs for pattern info. But this was self-drafted, so, we'll go step by step from measurements to hem, and we can all can wear them  the next day.  If you've never made a garment without a pattern, this is a great place to start ; ) 
You'll need 2 to 2.5 yards of 45" wide fabric, or use muslin to sew a "practice dress" and reusable pattern for later.
